Admission Student holding B.A./B.S. degrees are eligible to apply for the M.A./M.S. programs, and those holding M.A./M.S. degrees are eligible to apply for the Ph.D. programs offered by the Institutes of Bogazici University. |

Requirements 1. M.A Program
a. LES score (alternatively GRE or GMAT scores).
b. An undergraduate grade point average, specified for each program by the relevant Institute. c. Proof of English Proficiency.* Final admissions will be granted after the applicants are evaluated in their own subject by department. *Students should have taken one of the tests listed below and obtained the minimum scores indicated. TESTS BUEPT (Bogazici University English Proficiency Test) Min. Score: 60 USA: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Min. Score: 550, TWE: 4.5 Computer-based TOEFL: 213, TWE: 4.5 UK: IELTS Test (International English Language Testing System) Min. Score: 7 2. Ph. D. Program

Proof of English Proficiency.* All applicants are required to take an entrance examination in their own subject, given by the department they are applying to, in September and/or February. * See item I-c above and item 3 below. 3. English Language Requirement
Applicants who have failed the BUEPT, but have a knowledge of “intermediate” level English, and have been successful in their “subject” exams, upon the request of the executive committee of the relevant institute, are admitted to the English Language Program for one year only. These students may start their graduate studies upon successful completion of their English Language programs. Students with “beginner” level English are not admitted to the English Language Programs. Furthermore, students applying in January will not be admitted to the English Language Programs.
4. Necessary Documents
a. Official transcripts, sent directly to the Bogazici University Registrar's Office by the university from which the applicant has graduated. The documents should include all the courses taken and all the grades received throughout the applicant's undergraduate and/or M.A./M.S. programs. ** Only when applying from a Turkish University. Inquiries concerning admission and application should be addressed to: Bogazici University Application documents will not be returned to applicants. |
